Peer-Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to Socio-Economic Perspectives undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of published work.
Initially, each submission is screened by the editorial team. At this stage, manuscripts may be rejected without external review if they fall outside the journal’s scope, lack sufficient academic quality, or do not meet language and formatting standards.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers. The review process is conducted in a double-blind manner, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and are not affiliated with the same institution as the authors.
If the evaluations of the two reviewers conflict (one positive and one negative), the manuscript is assigned to a third reviewer. In such cases, the decision of the third reviewer is considered final.
Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers’ and editors’ comments. Sufficient time is provided for revisions, and authors must address all comments carefully in the revised version. The revised manuscript is evaluated by the
handling editor and may be sent for further review if necessary. Multiple rounds of revision may be required before a final decision is made.
The review process typically takes 4–6 weeks, depending on reviewer availability. Accepted articles are generally published within approximately 3 months after final acceptance.
Plagiarism Policy
Socio-Economic Perspectives maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy towards plagiarism and unethical use of intellectual property. All submitted manuscripts are screened using reliable plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin.
Manuscripts found to contain significant plagiarism are handled as follows:
• If the similarity index exceeds acceptable limits (generally above 15%), authors may be asked to revise and resubmit the manuscript.
• If substantial plagiarism or unethical content is identified, the manuscript will be immediately rejected.
• Any form of duplication, self-plagiarism, or unattributed content is considered a serious violation of academic ethics.
The journal strictly adheres to ethical publishing standards and expects authors to submit only original and properly cited work.
